Broken Arrow
This hurts a lot. This had me literally screaming at my screen because, my god.
It’s a twist to Roy’s story and a nod to Preboot comicsverse canon. And it fucking hurts because this canon was idiotic and painful to anyone who loved Roy and related to Roy and its right here on your screen showing you that Roy Harper’s not the luckiest guy in more than one universe. And it makes you wonder how this Roy lost his arm, how he got captured and what were his last thoughts before he was subdued. Did he wonder if Ollie would find him? Did he know in his heart that Green Arrow wouldn’t fall for this crap? Did he keep hoping until his very last conscious breath? Or did he realize eventually that he wouldn’t be getting out of this, that he wouldn’t be shooting arrows anymore, that he wouldn’t have crazy team-ups with other heroes or ever make a name for himself because this was it for him?
So here he is, sleeping and being carted around like an object while somewhere out there, someone’s been shooting arrows, having crazy superhero team-ups and making a name for themselves.
And smiling his smile the entire time.
